Germany – Interest rate of 6% p.a. unconstitutional since 2014  but only to be re-regulated for years from 2019 onwards

According to the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht, BVerfG), the interest rate for interest on back payments, but also on interest on refunds, has been unconstitutional since 2014.unconstitutional if an interest rate of 0.5% per month is applied. However, the legislature is only obliged to act for 2019 and later years – nothing nothing changes for earlier years.

No, I don’t have a list hanging in my house, crossing off item by item as soon as the goal is reached, of the things I’ve always wanted to do but haven’t been able to do yet.

It’s in my head, not really clear and complete, but it’s there. Certain things are just dreaming and I actually knew that when I put them on the invisible list. Certain things are simply aspirations like we all have, and maybe with a lot of luck they can come true someday after all, and many are quite doable, but super exhausting. Goals such as going to a certain place one day are not on my list.

Meine Liste der Dinge, die ich machen sollte, bevor ich sterbe

Nein, es hängt keine Liste bei mir zu Hause, wo ich Punkt für Punkt durchstreiche sofern das Ziel erreicht ist, von den Sachen, die ich immer schon einmal machen wollte, aber noch nicht machen konnte.

Es ist in meinem Kopf, nicht wirklich klar und vollständig, aber es ist da. Bestimmte Sachen sind einfach nur Träumerei und das wusste ich eigentlich auch als ich sie auf die unsichtbare Liste gesetzt habe. Bestimmte Dinge sind einfach Sehnsüchte wie wir sie alle haben, und die vielleicht mit sehr viel Glück irgendwann einmal doch noch in Erfüllung gehen können und viele sind durchaus machbar, aber super anstrengend. Ziele, wie zum Beispiel einmal an einen bestimmten Ort zu fahren, gibt es auf meiner Liste nicht.

Meine Grosseltern haben ein Leben lang mit den gleichen Möbeln gelebt. Fast alle Stücke waren aus Holz und man konnte sie sicher noch ein paar Jahrzehnte gebrauchen, aber niemand wollte sie. Nach ihrem Tod mussten wir alle die alten Möbel entsorgen.

Stella has 13-year-old identical twins. For a long time it was not easy to tell the boys apart. It was only recently that it became obvious from their appearance and the way they dress that although they look almost identical, their characters are very different. Stella is married to David and he is a scientist who fulfils all the stereotypes of scientists. On top of that, David is mildly autistic. If he hadn’t had Stella, he would probably have starved to death. When he is researching, he forgets the whole world around him and hunger as a feeling disappears by itself after a few hours.
