Years ago I saw Massimo Rocchi’s programme that dealt with France. How he describes the French fascinated me. For him they are the ,,grande nation»». Everything is big, monumental, almost theatrical. That certainly holds good for Paris.

Because it is quite a long distance, I sometimes drive him. It is actually a peaceful refreshing hour while I wait for him, because I can read the newspaper,undisturbed with a cup of coffee in my hand. I wait for him and then we drive home.

The last time I was surprised by music and discovered a gymnastic group. It looked very harmonious and rhythmic. I felt a desire to participate and decided the following week to give it a go.

blogCemeteries somehow attract me. There is only one reason for this. On a small surface there are numerous fascinating human stories. No-one tells them, they are the gravestones with names, dates and sometimes photos, which drive my fantasy at full throttle. Now he has wished for a larger children’s birthday party. The list of the children he wanted to invite grew longer and longer and finished up with 25. Despite the help I knew I could call on, a group of 25 under-10s seemed to be a heavy responsibility and I negotiated him down to 10 children.Read More »

She held her telephone high in the air, so that it looked as if she was filming the surroundings. She was separated from the next platform by a deep trench and two railway lines. The platform was almost deserted. Far away stood a man watching Clara with a sour expression.

“Hey you“, he called in her direction. „What are you doing? Stop filming”.
