When I look out the window, everything’s still there. The lake, the Rigi, the old town. Apart from the nature, not much has really changed since the Corona. I sit at the same table in the evening, sleep in the same bed and use the same tube of toothpaste as I did 8 weeks ago and STILL everything is different. But really everything. Looking for the familiar, the things we were used to and the traditions is difficult because they seem to disappear from one day to the next without warning. And I do not consider daily tooth brushing to be one of my traditions.

Wenn ich aus dem Fenster schaue, ist alles noch da. Der See, die Rigi, die Altstadt. Es hat sich, abgesehen von der Natur, nicht wirklich viel verändert im Vergleich zu der Zeit vor Corona. Ich sitze am Abend am gleichen Tisch, schlafe in dem gleichen Bett und benutze die gleiche Tube der Zahnpasta wie vor 8 Wochen und es ist DOCH alles anderes. Aber wirklich alles. Die Suche nach dem Vertrauten, dem Altbekannten und den Traditionen ist schwierig, weil sie scheinen ohne Vorwarnung vom einen auf den anderen Tag zu verschwinden. Und das tägliche Zähneputzen zähle ich nicht zu meinen Traditionen.
