Lonza – Global Head of Transfer Pricing (f/m/d)

The Global Head of Transfer Pricing is a member of the Group Tax Leadership Team and reports into the Group Head of Tax. The position is responsible for all aspects of transfer pricing in a dynamic environment. The role offers great visibility towards all of Lonza’s business units and functions including senior management, and the opportunity to help shape Lonza’s tax strategy and governance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drives the definition, implementation and maintenance of Lonza’s global transfer pricing strategy for all business units and develops, implements and maintains global transfer pricing policies and processes;
  • Provides guidance and direction on transfer pricing at all levels of the organization; presents transfer pricing updates to senior stakeholders (incl. finance committees and divisional leadership);
  • Defines operational transfer pricing processes (intercompany price setting, monitoring and adjusting), supports and supervises the operational transfer pricing team in executing such processes, and implements technology solutions, together with the operational transfer pricing team;
  • In cooperation with regional tax directors and other finance functions, manages transfer pricing controversies;
  • Manages transfer pricing matters in relation to M&A (valuations, purchase price allocations, etc.) and internal restructurings;
  • Leads a small team of transfer pricing experts.

Key requirements:

  • Master degree in Economics, Finance or Law
  • 10+ years of experience in transfer pricing, preferably both in advisory and inhouse roles
  • Ability to think and act strategically while being able to execute on operational deliverables
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent numerical, writing and MS Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills as well as communication and influencing abilities
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing technology solutions is of advantage
  • Qualification as certified tax expert, certified public accountant or similar professional diploma is a plus
  • Proven track record in the Life Sciences industry is a plus
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
