During its extraordinary meeting on 25 March 2020, the Federal Council addressed the issue of liquidity assistance for SMEs, which should have rapid access to credit facilities to bridge liquidity shortfalls caused by the new coronavirus pandemic. Companies are advised to apply for the credit facilities at their main bank.
Facilities will be secured by the Confederation. The corresponding ordinance enters into force on 26 March 2020, from which date credit applications can be submitted.

An seiner ausserordentlichen Sitzung vom 25. März 2020 hat sich der Bundesrat mit der Liquiditätshilfe für KMU befasst. Diese sollen raschen Zugang zu Krediten für die Überbrückung von Corona-bedingten Liquiditätsengpässen erhalten. Die Kredite können am besten bei der Hausbank beantragt werden. Sie werden vom Bund abgesichert.
Die entsprechende Verordnung tritt am 26. März 2020 in Kraft; ab diesem Zeitpunkt können Kreditgesuche gestellt werden.

As businesses continue to grapple with the challenges related to COVID-19, many states are providing tax relief in the form of filing and payment deadline extensions.
It is confirmed by the Government that payments of VAT which are due on 10 April 2020 (this year due to Easter falling due on 14 April) for the reporting and payment of VAT for the first VAT period (January – February) of 2020, will be deferred until the deadline for the next VAT period 10 June 2020.
