Ich kam nach Hause. Im Briefkasten ein Couvert. Es war noch an die alte Adresse gesendet worden. Wir sind vor 4 Jahren umgezogen. Ich erwartete keine spezielle Post. Ich öffne das Couvert und die Welt wird nie mehr so sein wie vorher. Herr Ivan Tomek ist gestorben. Wenn man sehr jung ist, ist der Tod etwas sehr Abstraktes. Ukraine – profit is an option but cash is a fact
The President of Ukraine signed Law No 5083-VI which introduces a number of amendments to the Tax Code including a provision under which large taxpayers reporting losses will not be entitled to an automatic VAT refund. The change is effective as of 12 August 2012. The automatic VAT refund is not available for large taxpayers reporting tax losses as a result of activities in 2011. Read More »

Until 4 November there is this wonderful open-air art exhibition, where things can be touched. I wanted to see it and it was really worth it. The exhibition is huge and anyone not fond of walking is definitely at the wrong place. One needs at least half a day and even then one does not manage to see everything in detail. Bis zum 4. November gibt es diese wunderbare Kunstausstellung zum Anfassen in freier Natur. Ich wollte sie sehen. Und es lohnt sich. Die Ausstellung ist riesig und wer nicht gerne läuft, ist falsch am Platz. Man benötigt zumindest einen halben Tag und da schafft man nicht mal alles ausgiebig zu bestaunen. About lice I read the first time when reading Karl May. Since then I associated lice with poverty, dirt and crowded living conditions. My real world had nothing to do with lice.
Since one year I regularly receive papers from the school regarding lice infestation. I looked at the hair of my junior but I would have been very surprised if I had found something. Nothing was there. See, lice are something for a slum area but not for our hygienic household.Read More »

Über Läuse habe ich das erste Mal bei Karl May gelesen. Seitdem verband ich Läuse mit Armut, Schmutz und beengten Lebensbedingungen. Meine reale Welt hatte mit Läusen nicht zu tun.
Seit einem Jahr bekomme ich von der Schule regelmässig Zettel über Läusebefall. Ich schaute die Haare von Junior an, aber ich wäre sehr überrascht gewesen, wenn ich etwas entdeckt hätte. Es war auch nichts da. Eben, Läuse sind was für eine Slumgegend, aber nicht für unseren hygienischen Haushalt.Read More »
Finland – increase of VAT rate as per 1 January 2013
The Finnish Government has issued on Monday 17 September 2012 an official proposal to increase the current VAT rates by 1% in Finland. It is foreseen to increase the standard VAT rate from 23% to 24% and the two reduced VAT rates from 9% to 10% and from 13% to 14%.
If passed by Parliament, the increase will take effect from 1 January 2013.
