The Malaysian Prime Minister has announced that GST will be implemented in Malaysia on 1 April 2015 at the rate of 6% in his budget speech. The threshold for mandatory registration will be RM 500,000.

Prague is a very vivid and pulsating city. There is a lot to see and, provided that one does not behave like a sterile tourist, there is also a lot to experience.
With my youngest one we went to visit the grandmother in Prague. After an exciting day with rambling, living sculptures, street musicians we just wanted to go home to stretch our legs. Mit meinem Jüngsten (7) haben wir die Grossmutter in Prag besucht. Nach einem ereignisreichen Tag mit Gaukeln, lebendem Skulpturen und Strassenmusikern wollten wir nur nach Hause um die Beine zu strecken. Wir gingen zur U-Bahn. A new standard VAT return, which can cut costs for EU businesses by up to €15 billion a year, has been proposed by the Commission on 23 October. The proposal still needs to be adopted by the Member States, and if everything goes well will go live on 1 January 2017.Read More »
The French tax authorities have reconfirmed in the recent Finance Bill that the VAT rate changes will take effect on 1 January 2014. The standard rate will increase from 19.6% to 20%. The intermediate rate will be increased from 7% to 10%. This rate will apply to various goods and services including restaurants and meals for immediate consumption, passenger transport, hotel accommodation, pharmaceutical products not reimbursed by social security and transfers of copyrights. Katja goes jogging with her friend Nadja every week. Not far and not for long. It is a leisurely run so that the two can talk while running.
Katja currently has two admirers. Michl and Mathys. Katja likes both and both guys try as best as they can to win Katja for themselves. Mathys likes to take photos and is good at it. By now Katja has taken numerous own portraits of Mathys. Michl is more a man of words and he gave sent wonderful letters to Katja. I did not want to go by train because I cannot work in the train. The flight to Milano is short, the airport clean and clearly laid out. However I am not willing to pay EUR 90 for a taxi drive to the city, the train ticket Zurich-Milano costs less. So I take the train. It is difficult to buy a ticket because of the 4 ticket machines, two don’t work. The queues are accordingly long and I miss my connection.Read More »
