As VAT Specialist, you will be responsible for the VAT Accounting/VAT Compliance with particular focus on EMEA countries.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Preparation of, and ensuring timely and accurate completion and filing of, complex (foreign) VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales listing for countries with a VAT registration;
- Review of Account Payables (AP) and Account Receivables (AR) invoices required for relief and recovery of VAT;
- Ensure that VAT payments are made and received on time and any issues are dealt with;
- Reconciliation of VAT ledger with VAT reports and VAT returns;
- Support the management of the indirect tax aspects of external tax audits across EMEA;
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholder and tax authorities, dealing with queries;
- Ability to monitor changes in international VAT law and regulation and help the business to implement any changes necessary;
- Provide ad hoc support to other VAT team members where required;
Qualifications and experience:
- background in accounting or taxation
- 2-3 years of work experience in dealing with European VAT issues
- customs duties experience and awareness is preferable but not essential
- experience in working with SAP and Excel

- interested in VAT and wants to develop further in the field
- excellent in English (corporate language) writing and speaking with the ability to present complex subject matter clearly. A second language (German) is of advantage.
