The e-invoicing system is proposed to be the next big change in the GST regime, and the Government seems to be working actively on the same. The introduction of such an e-invoicing system would trigger changes in various requirements from a compliance perspective as well as an update of IT systems.
GSTN has recently released a consultation paper along with an invoice schema/ format for industry inputs (which need to be provided by 20 August 2019).
The consultation paper presents an e-invoice standard developed by GSTN in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. This standard is based on globally accepted standards (which are being used in various European countries). The standard appears to be aimed at ensuring interoperability of e-invoices across the entire GST ecosystem.
During our webinar, we will take you through the consultation paper and the proposed changes and share our views on how they could impact your compliance requirements/ IT system, along with the key points of representation before the Government. Please refer to the details below.
