Vor 20 Jahren war ich das erste Mal in Mailand und wollte das berühmte Bild von Leonardo da Vinci „Das letzte Abendmahl“ sehen. Ich bin nämlich eine grosse Bewunderin von Leonardo. Es war damals und in den folgenden Jahren nicht möglich das Bild zu sehen, weil es nicht in einem guten Zustand war und die Feuchtigkeit drohte ihm weitere Schaden zuzufügen. Ich musste mich mit Reproduktionen begnügen aber der Wunsch, das Original zu sehen, ist mir geblieben.

Leonardo da Vinci’s „The Last Supper“
20 years ago I was in Milan for the first time and wanted to see the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci „The Last Supper“. I’m a great admirer of Leonardo. Then and in the following years it was not possible to see the painting, because it was in poor condition and dampness threatened to cause it further damage. I had to be satisfied with reproductions, but the desire to see the original has stayed with me.
A day in Milano
I did not want to go by train because I cannot work in the train. The flight to Milano is short, the airport clean and clearly laid out. However I am not willing to pay EUR 90 for a taxi drive to the city, the train ticket Zurich-Milano costs less. So I take the train. It is difficult to buy a ticket because of the 4 ticket machines, two don’t work. The queues are accordingly long and I miss my connection.Read More »
