The story of Robert


OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERARobert was an old school entrepreneur. Traditions were kept up, he looked after his people because loyalty was his first priority. Nevertheless or because of it Robert was very successful and his trading company with focus on Eastern Europe was prospering. Robert was present everywhere, interfered and wanted to know about everything. His working day was hardly ever shorter than 12 hours and working on weekends was no exception. Something has happened


Photo_RGB_PC_48238.jpgPeople walking near parked cars on a street - PwCI went to the concert of Pharrell Williams. I was really enjoying it. His song “Happy” made me feel well. A few sounds and a voice and the world looked better. I took the car and had to back into a parking space on the right in a steep road. I never said that I am good at it but after so many years driving the car I developed a strategy how to park successfully despite the missing three-dimensional vision. Continue reading

Dreams of men and boys


IMG_1312Within 24 hours I could watch the big male yearnings twice from close. First I was at the Nürburgring. Men of all ages had only eyes for the racing cars standing or driving around. And it was good like that because there was not much else to see. In the middle of the forest, in the middle of nowhere tarmac curves without end in order to test how to rev up an engine. Deafening, dominant noise, squeaking tires, just the smell of petrol was missing. The eyes of the men were shining. Continue reading

Shanghai – Oriental Pearl TV Tower and one child policy


Exactly on the last day of my stay in Shanghai the “space capsule“ on the highest floor of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower reopened after 3 million renovation works. It’s true that the entry ticket is quite expensive. But what are 220 Yuan (around 35 US Dollars) compared to the panoramic view from the three observatory decks at 339 meters! That would have been true if there were no pollution. The view outside was disappointing because the poor air quality impaired the visibility. So I could not take a picture!! Continue reading
