In the last two months, the Government of India (GoI) has made considerable changes to the proposed e-invoicing regime (proposed to come into effect from 1 April 2020). There have been changes in the e-invoice schema, frequently asked questions (FAQs), validations to be undertaken as well as application programming interfaces (APIs).
Despite multiple updates to the e-invoicing system, there are various issues on which taxpayers require further clarity. Frequent changes and lack of clarity on various aspects have posed multiple challenges to industry players in terms of implementation of e-invoicing and making IT-related changes.
The shift to e-invoicing is a major business change and hence, it is important to analyse the updates provided by the GoI and what they mean for businesses (including changes required from an IT/enterprise resource planning perspective).
Given this background, we would like to invite you to a webinar on the key updates on e-invoicing and the next steps to be taken by businesses.
