2019 Master of Advanced Studies in International Taxation, University of Lausanne (Switzerland) – Opening of applications

I would like to inform you that applications for the 2019 Master of Advanced Studies in International Taxation (MASIT) Program offered by the Tax Policy Center of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) are now officially open.

The MASIT, which may be undertaken on a part-time basis (1.5 year) or on a full-time basis (1 year), offers high-level education in tax law, bridging a policy and practical oriented approach. The new edition of the MASIT, which will begin in January 2019, takes into account latest international tax policy developments in the post-BEPS world, in particular:

  • Most recent tax treaty and transfer pricing policy developments and their impact for MNE groups;
  • Core tax treaty disputes and the evolution of dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Taxation in light of the digitalization of the economy;
  • Most recent tax policy developments in the European Union, including the relation of Member States with third countries.

In order to meet the participants’ individual needs, the program includes alternative specializations in (i) International Corporate Taxation and Tax Governance and (ii) International Estate Planning and Compliance.

In addition, for those wishing to practice in Switzerland, the program also offers a specialization in Advanced Swiss Taxation leading to a substantial equivalence for the Swiss Certified Tax Expert Exam.
