This is the Role

As a VAT Analyst at Eastman Chemical you will be responsible for making sure our VAT Compliance process is dealt with accurately. You will be preparing, analyzing, executing internal controls and submitting VAT returns and Intrastat reports. As a specialist in VAT you will provide advice to internal stakeholders and will help maintaining the overall tax control framework. You will provide cross functional trainings and will be regularly in contact with different tax authorities.

A dynamic role where no day will be the same where you will be challenged intellectually as well as personally and where there is enough room to develop to a VAT Specialist with international knowledge.

You are a pro-active, process-oriented, independent and entrepreneurial professional. You have a positive and can-do attitude and you enjoy working in a very international team. You are experienced in complex international supply chains and eagerly embrace the VAT complexity. You enjoy working in VAT Compliance and like to participate in projects at the same time.

You have a continuous improvement and learning mindset. Your analytical skills and financial acumen enable you to assess the impact of business and regulatory changes fast and evaluate the effect of the changes in VAT Compliance. You advise the different stakeholders where necessary. You are a versatile self-starter, able to engage others.

This is what you bring

  • Bachelor in Fiscal Economy, Fiscal Law or similar is required;
  • Willing to work in VAT Compliance;
  • 2/3 years of relevant work experience;
  • Able to apply changes in regulations into VAT Compliance;
  • Experienced in direct communication with Tax authorities, both written and orally
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required, both verbal and written.
