PwC Webcast: ASEAN Economic Community and Trans Pacific Partnership – Trade on track in Asia?

I would like to inform you on our upcoming webinar concerning the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and Trans Pacific Partnership (TTP).

Join our webcast on 29 October 2015 to listen to the views of our customs and international trade specialists. They will dissect the promises and realities of the AEC, and provide some frank and hopefully useful hints and tips how to make this Community work well for you. How “single” will the ASEAN single market be? Should you start moving factories, distribution centers and even people? What are the dangers of moving too fast? And what opportunities will you miss if you do nothing?

The TPP is hot off the press. The text is not even fully public yet. As per usual, the time of signing of a Free Trade Agreement is the worst time to get too excited about it – nothing more can be done to influence its contents, and it is far too early for benefits to materialize. Nevertheless, planning and preparation for its ultimate entry into force, probably in 2017, can and should start now, in order to hit the ground running and not be left behind when the time comes. And before then, lobbying for the best possible implementation can continue. Hear our specialists’ views on how to go about unlocking the significant potential of the TPP.
