Introduction of South African VAT on Electronic Services:

The SA National Treasury announced the introduction of VAT on the supply of specified electronic services in the Tax Amendment Bill of 2013. The legislation was promulgated on 01/01/14 for introduction on 01/04/14. The draft regulations regarding the definition of E-services were published for comment in February 2014. There have been many concerns raised by business and Tax practitioners regarding the implementation of the regulations.

Presenter: Gerard Soverall is an experienced Tax Partner, specialising in e-commerce and cross-boarder Indirect Taxation.  He leads the Gauteng ITX practice for PwC SA.

This Webinar is designed to inform the participants of the contents of the regulations and to discuss the administrative and enforcement challenges that will be faced.

We intend to record the event and archive it temporarily on pwc.com, so if required, it can be also referred in the future to call the attention of interested clients on these specialties and our capabilities to assist them locally. We plan to have a presentation of around 30 minutes, followed by a quick round of question and answers.
