The EU is planning to introduce a major reform of its customs legislation, which will affect the way goods are imported and exported in the single market. One of the key changes is the transformation of the current Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status with a new designation of Trust and Check trader (T&C). Currently, the necessary details are included in the various draft documents, such as the impact assessment, that have been made available by the European Union Commission.
