A first look for businesses

About the event
The Centralised Clearance for Import (CCI) system introduces a ground-breaking simplification: economic operators can now submit a single customs declaration to one customs office in the EU, regardless of where the goods physically enter the EU (physical presentation of the goods in another EU member state). This system is currently applicable in some EU member states, and will gradually expand across the region over the next few months.
This webinar will provide an overview of the newly-introduced CCI system, which began its initial rollout on 1 July 2024. It is essential for Swiss companies to understand how the CCI system works and how they can leverage it to streamline their operations.
During the session, we will break down the concept and structure of the CCI system, outline the requirements for obtaining a licence, and guide you through the practical steps that businesses need to take to consider this system in their operations as well as the link to the VAT system in the EU. The key benefit of attending the event is in gaining the foresight to take measures in good time, ensuring the business is well prepared for the full implementation of the CCI across the EU.
